5 Car Washes That Will Inspire Your Next Build

Here at Aslan Corporation, we offer excellence and expertise in many different types of construction, including retail spaces, automotive, offices, gas stations, industrial warehouses, and more. But for over two decades, we’ve been known as pioneers in car wash construction.

We’ve built our reputation by completing over 140 car washes in and around Colorado, earning recognition as one of the most experienced and specialized general contractors in this field.

If you’re planning to build a new car wash soon, we wanted to share a few memorable car washes we’ve built to inspire ideas for your next build or to upgrade your existing car wash:

1) Superstar – Garden of the Gods

One look at these images and it’s clear why we love this car wash project. The bright splashes of color delights patrons, and the design shifts washing your car from a task on your to-do list to an experience to be enjoyed.

The building and the brand are things you notice and remember, which is a huge asset for both new and repeat business.

The Superstar Car Wash is 4,700 square feet with a 130-foot express exterior car wash facility, and the structure is all CMU and Steel construction. Even more, they included a high-efficiency hydronic snowmelt system across the entire paved area of the lot, so those harsh Colorado winters won’t be a problem.

We’d take our cars here any day to get a good scrubbing!

2) Camelot

Hail to the king! A memorable theme for your car wash helps set it apart from competitors. Without a doubt, there will be no confusion between this car wash and every other one in the area.

We love the Camelot Car Wash because of its clear brand identity and recognizable structure. It has a great location, and there’s no question that you are in the right place when you pull up. Customers will be sure to leave feeling like they’ve received the royal treatment at this car wash.

3) Tommy’s Express

This Tommy’s Express in Colorado Springs is simply stunning.

You won’t find a dingy corner or broken light bulb here. The bright red exterior with crisp lines tells their customers from the first glance that they hold themselves to a higher standard.

The reality of running a car wash is that customers aren’t typically lost because of your pricing; they are lost because of a poor experience. Putting thought and effort into the structure’s overall look and how customers will move through the service, even before they’ve pulled in the lot, is a surefire way to create repeat business.

4) Living Water Express

The curved roof is a staple across Living Water Express Car Washes we’ve built.

The design is crisp and clean, and is recognizable to customers throughout Colorado. From the first impression to the last, this car wash design communicates both experience and utility, so you know that you’ll get exactly what you’re paying for.

The signage is clear, and the signature glass finishes along the side of the structure ensure that the car wash stands out, especially when people drive by at night.

Beyond that, the self-serve vacuums and attached Pet Wash give customers exactly what they need for a positive overall experience.

5) Ted’s Express

One of the biggest hurdles to overcome is customers feeling uncertain about navigating your building. At Ted’s Express, they make it crystal clear. It has one primary entrance, which is the very first thing you’ll see when pulling in. This is a great design to entice spur-of-the-moment customers as it has clear traffic flow.

Ted’s sits on a 1.5-acre site, and the project included off-site utility improvements, a snowmelt system (again, making sure that those Colorado winters don’t slow down business significantly), and adding a hollow-core precast roof.

How you design your next build is important for attracting and keeping customers for years to come. In our experience building car washes, we’ve seen it all and built it all. Especially if we can support on design direction from the beginning, we can help you save money, work directly with your architect (or introduce you to one), and make decisions that will truly set you up for success.

We hope these projects have inspired you to come up with some creative and successful car washes of your own. And if you are looking for experts to help you to create your next build, reach out today—we’d love to build something great together!
